Classroom Assessment

PQA is the Quality Assessment of the curriculum. It assesses the Childcare Professional’s implementation of the curriculum. The assessment addresses issues such as Adult Child Interactions as well as Health and Safety. The PQA for our Infant and Toddler Program, as well as the Preschool Program, was conducted by an Early Childhood Consultant in January 2023 school year.

TPOT was also conducted in February 2023. TPOT assesses our adult-child interactions.

Our classroom sizes for the Earliest of Learners are below the Required State Ratios.

Waddler Class: 1:3 (0-12 months)

Childcare Professionals’ Pedigree and Support System

All Educators have obtained a CDA, AA, BA, and or P-3 certification. Most are working on achieving the next level of their degree.

Our Early Childhood Educators are trained by Highscope Consultants as well as supported by The Jersey City Board of Education.  

We are proud of the fact the our Educators have a combined invested time at It Takes A Village Infant Toddler and Center of over 60 years.
