Director's Corner

Registration for 2007-2008 School year for Toddlers, Pre-K 3 Abbott and Pre-K 4 Non-Abbott begins April 1, 2007. Contact your family worker Ms. Miledy, Ms. Regina or Ms. Rosa to schedule a visit to our Pre-K 4 class.

Upcoming Events for your child's enjoyment:

• April is Family Month. Parents can become preschoolers again. See classroom teachers for details.
• May 24, Mother Goose visits the Village.

Come On Let's Shake It!
496 Blue has really been shaking it up since the New Year. They shook it up first by welcoming their new teacher, Ms. Jennifer, into the mix. Congrats to Madison McCoy and Amar Best who have shaken their way out of pull-ups and into underwear!...

The Expolorers in the Red Room kept it moving. Their adventures have taken them to explore fire trucks, dinosaurs and even watching the snow fall. They became chefs and baked their very own delicious cake! Congrats to Tamon Harris and Jalen Smith who are no longer in pull-ups!...

Follow the Yellow Brick Road
Yellow I had the pleasure of experiencing live Theatre at the Performing Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY. They explored Language and Literacy by listening to stories live on stage....

To Infinity and Beyond
In January, 496 Yellow bundled up into their winter gear and shot up to the moon on their rocket where they saw stars. In February, they experienced Yoga by doing body stretches. They created music from beans, bells, rubber bands and water bottles. They even began celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday by sharing his books.

Everyone in Yellow II would like to thank all the Villagers for making Dr. Seuss Week a memorable event. We had a ball! The children in Yellow II welcome their new teacher Ms. Wadud, "Welcome, Ms. Wadud!!"
